SMS - Job Documentation
Job descriptions form the foundation of many aspects of salary management. Yet, maintaining
current information on performance requirements or traditional duties for all of your jobs can
be an overwhelming task. SMS provides a
simple way to effectively organize and manage job-related data via its Job Documentation tool.
Job Documentation allows you to input capsule descriptions, import them from a file, or copy and paste them from another electronic format, as well as maintain and categorize an unlimited number of duties, tasks and requirements.
You can use completed descriptions in conjunction with other tools in SMS such as: market pricing - to select appropriate survey data; measurement - to evaluate the job based on actual content; and salary
planning - to compare an employee's performance with the requirements
of the job.
Once SMS captures the components of a job description, you can create custom reports with any and/or all combinations of the components using any ODBC-compatible adhoc report writer.
