SMS - Measurement
Because of the dynamic nature of jobs today, it is vital to have a means of accurately
quantifying the value of each position, even when market data is not readily available.
With its Measurement tool, SMS provides you with two methods for determining the
internal value of non-market priced jobs.
The most comprehensive way SMS assesses the internal value of a job is through licensing PeriscopeIQ's
proprietary job measurement system called the Factor Evaluation System (FES).
FES is a point-factor system that measures the value of individual job components
relative to each factor and each job and uses this information to derive an overall score.
That score determines the grade assignments for non-market priced jobs.
Through electronic scoring sheets, FES uses an interactive measurement process that gives real-time, visual feedback of the scoring results.
The Measurement tool also contains a simple whole job ranking approach to evaluating jobs.
For companies that already have a job evaluation process in place, PeriscopeIQ can modify SMS to accommodate the total scores of other measurement systems.
